I recently had an incredible 2-day-1-night Tam Dao tour for just 350k per person, and the most important thing is the trip left me with abundant fantastic experiences. Let me share some tips for your upcoming journeys.

Departure Schedule
During our recent trip to Tam Dao, we, a group of 6, chose the adventurous route of motorcycles, starting from Hanoi at 8 AM, navigating through the Pham Van Dong route to Dong Anh and then towards Vinh Phuc. The journey was smooth and convenient.
On the first day of the Tam Dao tour
Around 10 AM, we arrived in Tam Dao, our first stop being Tam Dao market. The most wonderful thing about opting for a Tam Dao travel tour for our vacation was enjoying the incredibly fresh air, surrounded by the sky and greenery, a refreshing feeling completely different from the hustle and bustle of the city. We strolled around the market, capturing moments of ordinary life and observing local activities. The market was not crowded, with simple stalls mostly selling food and souvenirs, resembling highland fairs. As we visited at the end of summer, the weather was cool, and we felt comfortable even around noon.

Next up, not far from the market, is the Tam Dao Stone Church. This is an ideal spot for a check-in due to its lively atmosphere and impressive beauty with ancient and majestic architectural features amidst the poetic natural backdrop.

Once we felt tired and hungry, we headed towards the afternoon without dining in but decided to go to Silver Waterfall. And indeed, that was a very wise decision. The path to Silver Waterfall was fascinating, with the waterfall seemingly deep underground and requiring us to traverse many stone steps. The temperature here was lower, with a pleasantly cool feeling. What we liked even more was the abundance of large rock slabs to sit on, enjoying a sandwich with milk, immersing ourselves in nature. It was a delight to play the guitar and sing freely, reminiscent of carefree youth and passion.

In the late afternoon, we navigated our way to Wind Hill in Tam Dao National Park, an eco-tourism area. The whole group purchased tickets, parked our vehicles, and then hiked up to admire the scenery shrouded in mist. Standing amidst the vast land, surrounded by mountains and forests, with misty paths and a faint fragrance of flowers, the feeling was truly extraordinary. Later, we returned to find a spot to set up our tents for the night.
An amazing night in the Tam Dao travel tour
The experience of sleeping in the forest was the most memorable part of this Tam Dao travel tour. We pitched our tents, gathered firewood, brought a stove, food, and even bought wild boar meat from the market. After arranging everything, as the sky darkened, we lit the fire and sat in a circle. The night air here was chilly, with only darkness around, reminiscent of experiencing life from decades ago. We grilled food, ate, and chatted, incredibly joyful. After the feast, we gathered to sing, reminiscing about youth, school days gone by, and envisioning the future. Those moments will forever linger vividly in our minds.

On the second day of the Tam Dao travel tour
In the morning, we woke up early and embarked on a mountain climb. There were many groups trekking overnight here. We ascended Wind Hill, embracing the entire mountainous forest and immersing ourselves in the world of mist from all directions. The feeling was comfortable, liberating, and delightful, compensating for the busy days in the city.

After breakfast, we continued exploring the winding roads of Tam Dao. The paths here are incredibly scenic. We decided to return to Hanoi, with a plan to visit Tay Thien on the way. We traveled leisurely and comfortably, as we had plenty of spare time. Particularly, in this Hanoi to Tam Dao tour, we used motorcycles, allowing us to stop anywhere with charming and picturesque landscapes.

Wrapping up the Tam Dao travel tour
We returned to Hanoi around 4 PM, concluding the 2-day-1-night Tam Dao travel tour. Calculating all expenses, including food and gas, each person spent less than 350k. However, we gained incredibly wonderful and memorable moments, not just filled with laughter but also moments for friends to be closer and more understanding.
If you decide to travel to Tam Dao, I wish you an unforgettable Hanoi to Tam Dao tour!
