Breaking through Tam Giang is an estuary within the Tam Giang Lagoon - Hai Bridge system. The area of Tam Giang Estuary is approximately 52km², stretching about 24km from west-northwest to east-southeast, from Ô Lâu river mouth to Hương river mouth, within the jurisdiction of Huế city and two districts Phong Điền, Quảng Điền in Thừa Thiên Huế province.
Tam Giang Bridge is located in Hải Dương commune, Huế city, 18km northeast of Huế, a 27-minute drive. The bridge is less than 1km from the sea. It spans the narrowest point of Tam Giang Estuary, offering an ideal location to admire the vastness of Tam Giang.

A Perfect Retreat for Many - Students, Cyclists, Nature Lovers at Tam Giang Bridge

On scorching days, around 5 PM, my friend and I head to Tam Giang Bridge to witness the sunset, breathe in the cool, fresh air of the lagoon, and capture beautiful photos as lasting memories. As I arrived at the bridge, I felt the gentle waves created by the estuary's breeze, shimmering under the soft sunlight. The sea breeze carried the scent of the land, the sea, and the nearby grass, intoxicating under the light of a long day. Stopping under the bridge, walking up to the bridge to overlook the vastness of the estuary, taking a deep breath, all fatigue and tension disappeared—a refreshing, comfortable, and exhilarating feeling. In the distance, flocks of birds wing their way home under the gentle water of the estuary, a colorful painting of sunset and the tranquility of the peaceful countryside.

On holidays, my friend and I arrive earlier to visit Hải Dương Sea, 3 km from Tam Giang Bridge, walk on the beach, take photos, and then return to Tam Giang Bridge to admire the sunset.
Hải Dương Sea, located in Hải Dương commune, features a beach enclosed by rocky shores to break the waves. The beach is calm, with fine sand, offering a beautiful seascape. On the shore, straight rows of coconut trees make for a picturesque scene. To the right, a stretch of green moss-covered rocks, along with a small lighthouse, provides a dazzling view for young people to capture fantastic images. Facing the endless East Sea, you can capture the beauty of waves crashing against the rocks, the water splashing high, the white of the water combined with the blue of the sea and sky. Due to limited tourism development, services here are basic. However, the increasing number of visitors has led to the emergence of service shops, especially seafood restaurants offering Hue's distinctive flavors at affordable prices.

Wrap up your evening by gazing at the sea and Tam Giang estuary sunset, then head to the center of Hue to savor the city's authentic, humble dishes such as bánh lọc, bánh nậm, bánh canh, cơm hến, nem lụi, bún thịt nướng, and various Huế desserts.
+ Try stand-up paddleboarding: prices around 100,000 VND per person.
+ Rent a boat to explore the estuary: prices vary depending on local rates.
