Setting up your squad for PVE activities

The most engaging PVE activities for Võ Lâm Nhàn Hiệp VNG players are the Boss Raid and Celestial Tower.  

In these activities, both lineups showcase excellent Boss Raid capabilities, facing little difficulty in climbing higher stages. However, opting for the same elemental affinity enhances overall effectiveness, as though the game's stages vary in elemental diversity, most challenges are not too formidable. With a well-rounded lineup focusing on offense, defense, and healing, you can navigate through with ease.  

The Celestial Tower follows a similar pattern. Difficulty gradually increases on each floor, accompanied by teams with tight elemental coordination and skills that don't impede same-affinity strategies. However, a team with diverse affinities gains a slight advantage in the challenge of the four Celestial Tower elemental stages, thanks to available Mercenaries ready to support each affinity.

This can be explained by players wanting to select powerful heroes capable of excelling in the late game to construct formidable lineups. Some popular names include Thiên Hạ Hội (Yin), Từ Hàng Giáo (Yang), Tung Sơn (Water), Lục Phiến (Metal), Dược Vương Cốc (Wood),...  

Saying that using the same affinity lineup is weak in PvP is not accurate. You can select the strongest characters of one affinity and then add Yang characters to activate the same affinity stats. Currently, many players still choose this approach to conquer Luận Kiếm Sơn Trang.

Is there a way to develop both?

In reality, you can still build both styles by intertwining Yang-affinity Mercenaries and Martial Arts Hall.

Yang-affinity Mercenaries allow +1 activation regardless of the elemental alignment you're building. One of the strongest same-affinity lineups currently includes: Tung Sơn (Water), Ngũ Độc Giáo (Water), Thiên Long (Yang), Tử Hàng Giáo (Yang), Đường Môn (Water)

Similarly, Martial Arts Hall enables you to level up heroes without spending any resources. The only condition is that the 'level-up buff' of the Mercenary will be equal to the lowest-level Mercenary among the 5 characters you choose for Cultivation.  

However, Cultivated Mercenaries tend to be weaker than the main hero group because they lack the Inherited Stats boost. So, if you want to develop both lineup types, strive to maximize the Inherited Stats of the characters you're investing in.

Possessing a diverse squad of Cultivated Mercenaries with a unique elemental system, especially with two Yin-Yang affinities full of variability, Võ Lâm Nhàn Hiệp offers numerous different development directions.
