(Homeland) - The following tribes - origins will possess great strength, greatly altering many compositions in the upcoming Teamfight Tactics Season 8.5.
Peril
In Season 8, Peril champions are often paired with core 3-cost units like Kai’Sa, Vayne, Senna. During the shop rotation for these core champions, players can also upgrade Rammus, Cho’Gath, or Vel’Koz to 3-star. However, in Teamfight Tactics Season 8.5, this strategy will likely disappear.

This is because Riot removes Cho’Gath and Vel’Koz, leaving only Morgana as a 3-cost unit. Consequently, the Peril tribe will rely more on 4-5 cost champions instead of leveraging inexpensive but powerful units as before. Therefore, the most suitable gameplay for the Peril tribe will be to save gold and reach level 8 rather than rolling for many 3-cost 3-star units as currently.
Rogue
One of the strongest attributes of the Tech faction is its ability to provide substantial full lifesteal stats right at the 2-champion threshold. These stats enable formidable carries like Zed, LeBlanc, or Zoe to engage in combat exceptionally well without requiring excessive healing items. This leads to a scenario where players utilizing this faction at the 2-champion level already possess overwhelming strength and secure victories.

In Season 8.5, Riot has changed this dynamic by removing Zed and Zoe. Instead, Shen and Pyke step in, champions who can hardly be compared to Zed and Zoe in terms of damage potential. Furthermore, the full lifesteal stats in 8.5 are also shared for units affected by the Tech class synergy. Therefore, Tech in Teamfight Tactics Season 8.5 will transition into a supportive role rather than providing too many powerful carries as before.
Ox Troop
At its core, the Ox Troop is by no means a feeble lineage. Even the temporary invulnerability effect for 1 second before being defeated for the first time is considered quite potent. Combined with the increased attack speed effect, the carries of the Ox Troop can inflict damage extremely effectively.

However, in Teamfight Tactics Season 8.5, Riot has completely altered the strength of the Ox Troop. Specifically, this lineage will provide armor/magic resistance to champions instead of attack speed. Consequently, Talon and Aphelios will be removed from the game. As a result, the Ox Troop transforms into a lineage that provides resilience instead of strong damage output as before.
Conclusion
For various reasons, the Danger, Tech, and Ox Troop traits will undergo significant changes in Season 8.5 ahead. This will lead to alterations in team composition and itemization for lineups utilizing them. Players need to stay vigilant to adapt to the aforementioned changes in the future.
