Following the official update of season 6.5, several super strong chess pieces were removed, causing Teamfight Tactics players to feel deeply regretful.
After each DTCL update season, Riot removes chess pieces and factions from the previous season to introduce new ones. However, not all of these new names are strong enough to fill the void left by the old chess pieces. DTCL season 6.5 is currently an example where many players still express regret for the 'overpowered' chess pieces in season 6 that were removed in season 6.5.
Taric - 3 gold
The champion belonging to the Idol - Artisan faction is a name that many players lamented disappearing from the Idol lineup after season 6 ended. At present, Idol no longer has any champions capable of healing sufficiently except for Seraphine. However, she can only heal allies within the flight path of her skill. Therefore, players are sometimes forced into a passive position. Moreover, Seraphine is not sturdy enough to provide consistent healing throughout the match.
Fiora - 4 gold
The Challenger - TFT champion emerged in season 6 and immediately became one of the strongest mainstays of the Challenger lineup. In fact, compared to Yone, also priced at 4 gold, or Kai'Sa at 5 gold, Fiora proves to be more effective. Her damage output is unquestionable, and Fiora can also prove effective with resilience-enhancing equipment alone. As long as Fiora remains on the board, players can completely turn the tide at any moment. Moreover, Fiora is cheaper than Kai'Sa, allowing upgrades to 2 or even 3 stars in the decisive phase of the match to further enhance her effectiveness.
Janna - 4 gold
With the Janna chess piece, there's no need to explain as she's the biggest regret of the TFT gaming community. Bearing three powerful factions and the ability to complement each other and fit into any lineup beautifully, including Recyclers - Scholars - Artificers, Janna is a 'cleansing card' for many lineups, notably the once powerful Yordle lineup.
But in season 6.5, this lady disappeared, and to this day, there hasn't been a name that truly brings players the same strength and efficiency as Janna did before.
