Today, MediaTek introduced a new mid-range processor named Dimensity 8050. It is manufactured on a 6nm process and features an 8-core CPU with 4 high-performance Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 3GHz.

Built on TSMC's 6nm process, the Dimensity 8050 comes with a 5G modem and an octa-core architecture. It features 4 high-speed Cortex-A78 cores, including one turbo core clocked at up to 3GHz, and three high-performance cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz. The remaining 4 Cortex-A55 cores handle power-saving tasks. As mentioned, the SoC supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.
