A 16-year-old young man in Da Nang applied glue to the locks of 45 houses and attached small paper notes, urging residents to subscribe to his YouTube channel to increase views.
On August 17th, My An Ward Police (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang) reported that they had tracked down a young man, N.N.K (16 years old, residing in Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District), who poured glue into the locks of dozens of houses in the area. The police will consider K's act as property damage.
Earlier, on the morning of August 16th, many households in Alley 89 Le Van Huu Street (My An Ward) were shocked to find that the locks on their doors were glued shut with adhesive 502, making it impossible to open them without sawing off the locks.

Notably, accompanying the adhesive-locked locks were small paper notes directing access to a YouTube channel.
Upon receiving the report, Ngu Hanh Son District Police directed My An Ward Police to focus on tracking down and clarifying the perpetrator and motive of the incident.
By 1:00 PM the same day, the police had tracked down K. as the perpetrator.

At the police station, this young man confessed to applying adhesive and attaching paper notes to 45 households along the route from Hoa Khanh Bac to My An and some other wards in Da Nang. K.'s intention was to encourage people to subscribe to his YouTube channel to increase views.
