Sample essay 1: Describe a pigeon
Among the bird species, my favorite is the pigeon, a bird symbolizing peace. Next to our house is Uncle Nam's house, where he raises pigeons for sale. I have been very familiar with this species since I was little.
Every morning, I wake up to the familiar sound of the alarm clock, which is the sound of a flock of pigeons flying and cooing on the roof. Pigeons are very close to humans, they can approach and easily be caught, but some are scared and fly away when they see people. After school, I often go to Uncle Nam's house to feed the pigeons with him. Uncle Nam has a special way of feeding them, he uses an iron spoon to tap on the aluminum pot containing rice, making a sound. When the pigeons hear the tapping, they immediately fly back to gather at the feeding ground, the tapping sound is like a signal bell indicating feeding time. The pigeons eat very neatly, not fighting over food, they pick up very cleanly, after finishing eating, there is no grain of rice left on the ground, each pigeon is full.
Whenever something unpleasant happens or when I feel stressed with my studies, I spend time watching the pigeons fly and glide, the feeling is very peaceful and relaxing.
Sample essay 2: Describe a dove
My grandfather's house has a flock of magpies, called a flock but only about ten birds, each with its own cute cage instead of being raised together like pigeons.
Magpies have a very melodious chirping, whenever in the small yard of my grandparents' house is like a garden full of the chirping sound of magpies, clear and crisp. Ten magpies, each with its own appearance and singing voice, usually the one with a strong body will sing well and sing very melodiously, while the thin and weak one will sing less and less melodiously. My grandfather takes care of them very attentively, every day he finds fruits in the garden or buys them to eat, sometimes bananas, sometimes dragon fruit, and sometimes persimmons. Every week, he puts a small water tray into each bird's cage for them to bathe, when they bathe, we should not stand close because they flap and preen their feathers very excitedly, splashing water everywhere. Every day, he checks the health of each bird, if any bird is sick, it will be separated, medicine will be bought to treat it until it is healthy before being put back near the flock. Once he said he wanted to give me a magpie, whichever one I liked, he would give it to me. At first, I really liked it, but then I thought if I brought that magpie home, it would be very sad because it wouldn't have any friends. Thinking like that, I immediately refused to accept it, just wanting to visit my grandparents regularly to admire the magpies.
I really love the lively and agile magpies!
Sample essay 3: Describe a magpie
People often like birds with beautiful songs or beautiful shapes to keep as pets, but for me, I like small, simple birds like sparrows and swallows.
Other bird species may be hard to find, have to be searched for, but with sparrows, we can find them anywhere in the garden of every house. Any garden with trees will have worms and the appearance of sparrows. They are called sparrows because their main food is caterpillars eating leaves, watching them catch worms is very interesting, their tiny feet cling firmly to the branches, moving quickly from one branch to another. Sparrows are sometimes very mischievous, when it rains, water collects on the leaves of taro creating puddles, sparrows calmly descend, flap and bathe in that natural puddle. While bathing, they are still very alert, looking around to watch, bathing until all their feathers are wet before flying away. Watching birds bathe is as enjoyable as children bathing in a rainstorm, although they may be scolded by their parents or even get sick, they are still very happy.
Sparrows are very useful because they are the army that destroys insects, protecting fruits and vegetables for humans, their sharp eyes can find small or hidden worms in the leaf crevices.
In the natural world, there are many different bird species, to learn about the diversity of bird species, in addition to the essay Telling a story about a bird species, you can also refer to: Describing a bird catching worms, Describing a nightingale, Describing a pair of swallows, Describing a dove.
