JackyLove has just secured his second Pentakill ever using the newly reworked Sivir.
In the professional League of Legends scene, discipline and strategic gameplay reign supreme. Thus, individual displays of brilliance, taking down all 5 opponents and securing a Pentakill, are relatively rare. To achieve this, a player must truly excel or wield a champion that proves excessively powerful.
JackeyLove's most recent Pentakill against TT seems to combine both factors. He currently stands as one of the premier ADCs in the LPL and utilizes the incredibly potent Sivir. Perhaps for JackeyLove, the latter factor outweighs the former, as he believes the reworked Sivir is exceptionally strong. With her, one doesn't need elaborate maneuvers to dominate team fights.
Question: Congratulations to JackeyLove on his recent Pentakill. What are your thoughts on the match?
TES JackeyLove: I'm thrilled to secure another Pentakill in the LPL. I appreciate my teammates' support in achieving this feat. Sivir's rework this time around is undeniably powerful. I hardly need to do much to secure a Penta. To use this champion effectively, one simply needs to pay attention, use her E skill to dodge crucial enemy abilities.
In essence, Sivir's rework hasn't changed much about her abilities, so players will quickly adapt to her. However, two things make Sivir much stronger than before: the changes to W - Ricochet and her ultimate, On the Hunt.
Previously, when using W - Ricochet, you only had 3 enhanced attacks. However, in the reworked version, the enhanced attack and bounce time is now 4 seconds. This allows Sivir to synergize better with attack speed stats and critical items, resulting in significantly improved damage output during skirmishes.
If the aforementioned W ability is used continuously during skirmishes, Sivir becomes extremely powerful. The second reason Sivir is dominating the current meta is her ultimate - On the Hunt, which reduces the basic ability cooldowns of allies upon attacking enemies. Consequently, with sufficient equipment, Sivir can provide powerful teamfight advantages.
In the professional gaming scene, Sivir's ultimate is an incredibly dangerous tool and can lead to unbelievably dramatic turnarounds. With JackeyLove demonstrating its effectiveness with his recent Pentakill, it's easy to understand why Sivir is set to dominate tournaments in the foreseeable future.
