Last Tuesday, Tesla, the electric car manufacturer, announced the creation of an internal automotive data storage zone in China. The company mentioned on Weibo that data produced by all vehicles sold in China (Model 3 and Model Y) will be stored domestically.

This development takes place against the backdrop of China, the world's largest automotive market and the second-largest for Tesla, working on regulations to ensure the security of data generated by connected vehicles. The widespread use of such vehicles has raised concerns about privacy and national security.
