The champion Nami is proving too powerful in TFT Season 7, prompting Riot to take immediate action.
Barely two days since the official launch of TFT Season 7, the gaming community has already provided abundant feedback. Many have praised the new season, which features significant changes including new Tech Cores and high-cost champions.

Surprisingly, some of the dominant figures in TFT Season 7 aren't 5-cost champions like Bard, Soraka, or 8 to 10-cost Divine Dragons. Instead, the most formidable champions are those with remarkably low costs. Particularly, Nami - a champion of the Sky Dragons - Mage - Mystic faction. Despite being only 2 gold, Nami is haunting many gamers.

Specifically, Nami has the ability to deal damage while providing healing. Moreover, the damage and healing from her abilities are substantial (damage 175/225/275 and healing 275/300/325). If anyone finds these numbers small, remember, Nami is only 2 gold and the Sky Dragon faction allows players to have a chance to roll out Sky Dragon champions. In other words, Nami is easy to upgrade to 3 stars and just needs additional items providing SMPT to make her and her allies nearly invincible.

And gamers' complaints about a 2-gold champion capable of destabilizing an Exodia lineup reached Riot's ears. Immediately, on the night of June 10th (Vietnam time), Riot urgently nerfed Nami. Specifically, Riot Mortdog - the 'father' of TFT - announced that Nami's damage would be nerfed to 100/150/200 respectively. With a reduction of up to 75 damage points, this is a significant blow to this champion.
Aside from Nami, two other champions, Varus and Sylas, have also been urgently nerfed. Following this adjustment, Varus has had his attack speed reduced and requires more mana to cast his abilities, while Sylas, previously able to accumulate energy while creating shields, can no longer do so. With the removal of energy lock while having a shield before, Sylas is considered one of the highest-quality tanks in TFT Season 7.

These nerfs are all incredibly potent and may pose challenges for these champions in finding their positions in team compositions in the upcoming period. However, Riot's actions are warmly supported by the community as they demonstrate the developer's genuine concern for their TFT players.
