These upgrades in TFT were previously teased at the end of season 5 but were officially shelved by Riot for the new season update.
Teamfight Tactics season 6 marks a breakthrough for Riot. It's fair to say that the core technology upgrade mechanism is outperforming the Light Armor and Enlightened mechanics of season 5 and season 4. This mechanism ensures each match is different and creative, particularly reducing the spammer trend for points.

Currently, there are over 150 technology upgrades ranging from bronze to diamond with various advantages depending on the player's composition. However, you may not know that at the introduction of season 6, Riot teased two extremely unique upgrades named Oracle and Blindfold. Neither of them increases any stats for players but possesses incredibly interesting mechanics. And after a period of being submerged, Riot Mortdog hinted that these two upgrades might appear in version 6.5 with some reasonable adjustments.

With the Oracle mechanism, you can know who your next opponent is and adjust your lineup accordingly to counter their main force. As for the Blindfold, opponents won't be able to scout your board during the pre-combat phase. However, even after development, Riot still finds these cores to be somewhat 'ineffective' compared to the general level. Even providing additional items like Divine Sword for the Oracle upgrade and Cloak of Shadows for the Blindfold core still hasn't satisfied them.
The aforementioned cores seem extremely beneficial, especially for Vanguard compositions, allowing players to predict the next opponent and strategize accordingly.

In addition to core upgrades and tweaks to chess pieces, in version 6.5, players will have the opportunity to encounter Silco – the first character in TFT history to appear from Arcane without being a champion in Summoner's Rift. According to the original series, we didn't get to see much of Silco's combat skills; he's very dangerous due to his muscular henchmen and extensive gang. Therefore, it's highly likely that in version 6.5, Silco will be the 'maestro' behind the scenes orchestrating battles.
TFT version 6.5 is scheduled to be updated in February 2022.
