The next flagship product line from the South Korean company will bring numerous hardware upgrades, but it's the new software aspect that's grabbing users' attention.
The AI feature of Galaxy S24 will require Samsung and Google accounts.As a result, the Galaxy series will come with several AI features to enhance user experience. For instance, the 2024 Galaxy S series will introduce a robust photo editing tool called Generative Edit, allowing users to manipulate or remove objects from images and even add new details to existing photos.
Galaxy S24 UltraMeanwhile, the Live Translate feature will enable you to communicate in foreign languages during calls by providing real-time translation. The Samsung Notes app will automatically convert text paragraphs into readable bullet points, and AI will even support things like Samsung apps and the screen. Some functions will occur on the device without requiring internet connection, similar to features found in Samsung's virtual assistant, Bixby. However, as Samsung has confirmed in the official Galaxy S24 Unpacked teaser, not everything will function without internet connectivity.
Samsung's teaser also hints that all Galaxy AI features will require Samsung and Google accounts. Galaxy devices have always required logging into both Google and Samsung accounts for the best experience, and this practice will evidently be even more crucial on the Galaxy S24 lineup.
We'll have to wait until the official launch of the Galaxy S24 to learn which AI features will transmit and receive data over the internet and which ones won't.
