After a viral social media clip showed a female tourist standing on the airport baggage conveyor belt, the aviation authority has instructed relevant departments to investigate and report for appropriate disciplinary measures.
In recent days, a video capturing a couple's risky act of standing on the luggage conveyor belt to film and share on TikTok has garnered much attention. The female passenger's behavior is deemed dangerous and inappropriate, occurring despite prior warnings and numerous incidents of individuals standing or sitting on similar conveyors for the sake of 'virtual living,' disregarding the associated risks.
Leadership of the aviation authority has stated that they have requested relevant units to report and propose disciplinary actions according to existing regulations. They emphasize the need for strict consequences to set an example and discourage the recurrence of such behaviors in the future. Standing on the baggage conveyor belt at the airport is not only inappropriate but also dangerous, as it poses a risk in case of any malfunction or if a passenger's clothing gets stuck and pulls them in.
According to the initial investigation by the Southern Airports Authority and the report from Lien Khuong Airport (Lam Dong), the incident occurred on the evening of August 11th. The female passenger, traveling from Da Nang to Lien Khuong, recorded the clip while waiting for her luggage. The incident took only a few seconds, and airport security was unable to detect and prevent it in time.
After the clip was uploaded, the Southern Airports Authority invited the female passenger for a discussion. The behavior of the female passenger could be categorized as one of the disruptive activities at the airport.

Prior to this, social media continuously shared numerous clips related to passengers engaging in dangerous behaviors at the airport, recording them to attract viewers. These actions are deemed as threats to flight safety. Examples include a female passenger advancing towards a taxiing plane, passengers sitting or standing on the luggage conveyor belt, and attaching phones to airplane windows during takeoff/landing to capture scenery...
The Civil Aviation Authority has stated that they have directed airports and relevant units to intensify monitoring and remind passengers. If passengers violate the rules, official reports will be filed, and strict measures will be taken.
