As a spiritual destination, Bai Dinh Pagoda has become one of the most visited spots by travelers in Ninh Binh.
The Charm of Bai Dinh Pagoda – Ninh Binh's Top Check-In Destination
Bai Dinh Pagoda is situated within the Trang An Landscape Complex, approximately 15 km from Ninh Binh city, on the western side of the historic Hoa Lu ancient capital area. It is the largest pagoda in Vietnam, known for numerous records such as having the largest bronze Buddha statue in Southeast Asia, the largest bronze bell in Southeast Asia, and the corridor with the most Buddha statues...

During temple festivals, the pagoda is bustling with visitors. Here, you can marvel at gigantic bronze statues such as the largest set of Tam The statues in Vietnam and the tallest and heaviest bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni... Additionally, this place also preserves many precious gemstones, treasures of Buddha.

There are hundreds of Arhat statues placed along the path to and from the pagoda. As people pass by each statue, many often use their hands to touch them, hoping for good things in life.

The temple's architecture stands out with large, grandiose structures bearing the unmistakable Vietnamese imprint, crafted from various local materials such as Ninh Binh blue stone, four-sided wood, and Bat Trang enamel tiles.

The most distinctive feature of Bai Dinh Pagoda's architecture is the dark brown curved roof resembling a phoenix tail. The intricate details bear the hallmark of famous traditional craft villages in Vietnam.

The temple features main attractions such as the Three Gates, Bell Tower, Quan Am Hall, Dharma Master Hall, and Tam The statues. To reach each attraction, visitors must traverse a fairly long path, mostly consisting of staircases. This serves as a way to demonstrate patience and the aspiration to reach the tranquility of the human soul.

Bai Dinh Pagoda is open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM, ensuring good security and cleanliness. However, visitors should still be mindful of personal belongings and avoid littering.
