According to reliable sources, Apple's in-house designed GPUs are making significant progress. The graphics processing chip, codenamed Lifuka, is showing great promise. Similar to the upcoming A14X chip, it's also being manufactured on TSMC's 5nm process. Apple has crafted several versions of processing chips tailored for various Mac models, and the GPUs integrated within this SoC boast improved performance-to-power efficiency and substantially enhanced processing power. They support tile-based deferred rendering technology, enabling developers to create software with significantly higher performance.
Meanwhile, the A14X processing chip is poised to debut alongside the 12-inch MacBook later this year, codenamed Tonga, whereas the A14 chip powering the iPhone 12 bears the codename Sicilian.According to Mac Rumors, there are exciting developments in the pipeline.
