Tech giant announces Chromium-based Edge browser now available for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. Users of older Windows versions can download and experience the browser.
Over 2 months ago, Microsoft began publicly rolling out previews of the new Chromium-based Edge browser for users. However, at that time, the browser was only available for Windows 10 AMD64 computers, later expanding to include Windows 10 x86 devices and macOS.
Exciting news as Microsoft announces the new Edge browser is now available on older Windows versions including Windows 7, 8, and Windows 8.1. Currently, the browser is offered on the Canary channel and will soon be brought to the Dev channel.
