However, Fntastic, the developer, recently announced on their Twitter channel that PS5 and Xbox Series X gamers will have to continue waiting until the official release date. The commonly cited reason is that the developer needs more time to refine the product. The early access version will only be available to PC players on Steam's early access platform starting December 7th.
According to the announcement on The Day Before's Steam page, the complete version of the product will be released approximately 6-8 months after the early access version. It seems the developer has decided to narrow down the early testing scope of the game only to the PC community. They will rely on feedback from gamers to continue refining the game until its official release. Console users will have to wait almost another year unless there are any changes.
Alongside this announcement, the developer also released a final trailer summarizing all the standout features of The Day Before before its early access launch on Steam.
