Leaker Ross Young has just discovered that Samsung has altered the screen refresh rate details in its Galaxy S22 marketing materials. Initially, Samsung mentioned that both Galaxy S22 and S22+ were equipped with screens with a variable refresh rate of 10-120Hz, but later corrected it to 48-120Hz, similar to the S21 and S21+ from last year.

This raises concerns about the usage time of the two new flagships because the S22 and S22+ this year have a lower battery capacity of 300mAh (3700 and 4500mAh) compared to the S21 and S21+ (4000 and 4800mAh). If the screen refresh rate is wider, it may compensate for the reduced battery capacity, but with the refresh rate equivalent to last year's, Samsung may have to rely on software optimization to ensure battery life for its two flagships. Let's wait for battery tests on the S22 and S22+ to have more information on this issue.
