Elden Ring gamers are now facing a significant threat.
Just under a month since its release, Elden Ring is already being hailed as the most noteworthy blockbuster of 2022. With captivating gameplay, stunning graphics, and a high level of difficulty, it's poised to shatter records. However, like many other blockbusters, Elden Ring has not escaped the attention of cheat hackers.

Specifically, just a day after its release, Elden Ring - priced at $59.99 - was mercilessly cracked. A simple search for 'Elden Ring crack' yields numerous results for gamers. Yet, this hasn't significantly impacted the player experience. However, recently, the Elden Ring community was shaken by a daring hacking incident perpetrated by Malcolm Reynolds - a notorious hacker from Dark Souls.

Accordingly, the dreaded 'Malcolm' has returned to Elden Ring, instilling fear among players. In his latest YouTube video, Malcolm brazenly 'invades' hundreds of other players, dispatching their characters with fireballs wherever he encounters them. Moreover, in a recent interview, Malcolm hinted at even more bitter tactics, accessing players' inventories to plant a corrupted item named 'pavel' to 'eliminate' opponents more ruthlessly.

As such, since 'pavel' is not part of Elden Ring's design, administrators quickly detect players possessing it as cheats, resulting in account bans and complete character data wipes.

Many victims have reacted with anger, even using words like 'disgusting' to describe Malcolm. The Elden Ring publisher is also facing criticism for its anti-cheat measures. As for Malcolm himself, he admits to still enjoying hack cheats and has no intention of stopping.
