After the release of the 9.15 update for Teamfight Tactics, Riot announced the debut of a new faction and 4 entirely new champions. The new champions include Camille, Jayce, Vi, and Jinx, all of whom belong to the Hextech origin.
New champions in Teamfight Tactics
The Hextech faction and 4 new champions in Teamfight Tactics 9.16
- When combined, the Hextech faction will bring about a highly unique effect that no game has had before, they have the ability to disable 2 or 4 random enemy items at the start of the match. (select a random enemy unit with items, then disable one of those items). This means Hextech units are more dangerous against players who equip all items on one or two units, unlike evenly equipping items on different units.
- Each of the 4 new Hextech faction units will also have a different class and a unique ability similar to other champions in Teamfight Tactics.
Camille
- Class: Blademaster
- Ability: Camille attacks enemies and has the ability to immobilize them (preventing movement), allied units attacking different targets will redirect their attacks to the target Camille has immobilized.
- Cost: 1 Gold
Jayce
- Class: Shapeshifter
- Ability: Jayce's ultimate ability allows him to knock back enemies and switch from melee to ranged mode, Jayce's initial attacks will be faster than subsequent ones.
- Cost: 2 Gold
Vi
- Class: Brawler (Fighter)
- Ability: Vi targets the farthest enemy on the board and charges towards them, knocking aside all enemies in her path, causing a knock-up effect and dealing damage upon collision with her target.
- Cost: 3 Gold
Jinx
- Class: Gunslinger
- Ability: Jinx becomes more excited as she eliminates enemies. After her first elimination, she gains attack speed. After the second, she switches to Fishbones (rocket launcher) and deals wide AoE damage with each basic attack.
- Cost: 4 Gold
Currently, players can experience Teamfight Tactics 9.16 with the introduction of the Hextech faction and 4 new champions right now on the PBE testing server. Teamfight Tactics is a game mode of League of Legends, so you need to experience the League of Legends update on the PBE first. Let's see how it impacts the current Meta.
