Bot Hang Dau (Hanoi) will undergo transformation, organize exhibitions, and welcome visitors from November 17 to December 31, 2023.
Bot Hang Dau (Hanoi) is now ready to welcome curious travelers for an immersive experience.
Hang Dau Water Tower, commonly known as Bot Hang Dau, stands at the crossroads of Hanoi's streets: Hang Than, Hang Luoc, Hang Giay, Hang Dau, Quan Thanh, and Phan Dinh Phung (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi). Built in 1894, it stands as one of Hanoi's ancient architectural marvels constructed by the French.

Bot Hang Dau takes the form of a circular tower, with a diameter of 19m, three stories high, topped with a conical roof and a lightning rod in the center. The tower features a large steel water tank with a capacity of 1,250 m3, situated atop 8 stone walls. Currently, Bot Hang Dau retains its original charm. Architects and experts are working on renovating and organizing exhibitions to showcase the space's Water and Heritage of Hang Dau Water Tower.

The exhibition space within Bot Hang Dau includes a sound system recreating the natural sounds of water, as well as a lighting system with images emphasizing the urban impact on the natural environment. The intention is to convey to the public the role of water in life and the connection between humans and nature. This is also an opportunity for tourists visiting Hanoi to experience an impressive art space with wooden pathways, soundscapes, and artworks made from recycled materials.
