From National Highway 1A (Tam Quan town - Hoai Nhon commune - Binh Dinh), head southeast for about 10km, and you'll arrive at this untamed cliff, irresistibly enchanting.
The Enigmatic Hoai Hai Cliff, Captivating Travelers' Souls

In the scorching midday sun of early May along the coastal area, we headed to Hoai Hai commune (Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh), upon hearing friends' descriptions of the stunning cliffs and beautiful rocky beaches here.
Hoai Hai Cliff is a rocky outcrop protruding near the sea surface, shaped over time by the relentless erosion of the sea. Amidst the rugged rocks along the coastline are small rocky hills rising about 200m above sea level, forming stunning scenic viewpoints.
Climbing to the summit and gazing downward, the sea, rocky shores, boats, and fishing villages along the coastline unfold like picturesque paintings. The hilltops are sparsely vegetated, mainly rocky with little soil, making movement challenging.
As we arrived, a vast expanse of sea and sky unfolded before us. Far offshore, fishing boats returned in groups after a day of fishing near the coast. At the foot of the mountain, scattered groups of visitors enjoyed refreshing dips in the naturally beautiful pools.
At midday, with no shade from trees, the only refuge atop Hoai Hai Cliff that we chose were small rock crevices with makeshift roofs, just enough for a few people to sit or lie against the rocky walls.
As the tide rose, waves crashed vigorously onto the rocky shores. It was a strange yet fascinating sensation. Relaxing and gazing at the sea from the small rock crevices at the foot of the cliff also brought a special feeling.
For young enthusiasts who enjoy a refreshing swim, Hoai Hai Cliff offers plenty of water holes carved into the rocks. Immerse yourself in these moderately deep water holes, where the waves gently lap, providing both coolness and safety.
Not only is the sea beautiful, but the hospitality of the local people in Hoai Hai is also very warm. As we prepared to leave, our host invited us to enjoy a seafood lunch.
The meal consisted of seafood and local fish sauce, simple yet heartwarming. We promised to return to Hoai Hai Beach one day, to lie in the rock crevices listening to the singing waves, to wander up the rocky peaks, and to lose ourselves to the rhythm of the distant boats at sea.
Atop that serene summit, clouds drift overhead, days pass with vast stretches of time, and echoes of beloved stones, mountains, waves, and people resonate...
