Today, a fresh rumor suggests that the South Korean company seems poised to utilize a titanium frame for the upcoming
Galaxy S24similar to the recent offerings from Apple. However, unlike its biggest competitor, Samsung is rumored to use this new material for all three upcoming Galaxy S24 models.
The complete Galaxy S24 lineup will boast a titanium frameLeaks suggest that Samsung is currently manufacturing a titanium frame for the standard
Galaxy S24and will be acquiring frames for the
Galaxy S24+from third-party sources. This material is evaluated to be 60% lighter than stainless steel while maintaining high rigidity and durability.
As you may already know, the iPhone 15 Pro and have shifted to using titanium frames instead of stainless steel from the previous generation. The frames of these phones are made of titanium, but the internal structure is aluminum. This is a necessary combination because titanium has very low thermal conductivity and poor heat dissipation. It is also expensive, which is why Apple has used a moderate amount (titanium thickness is only 1mm) for the frames of the iPhone 15 Pro series.
Samsung is sure to adopt a similar approach, especially if they intend to use titanium frames for all three models of the Galaxy S24 without increasing their prices. Let's wait and see!
