Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, announced that he will conclude this manga within this year.
As revealed in Weekly Shonen Jump's 8th issue this year, specifically in the commentary section, Gege Akutami, the renowned creator of the global hit manga Jujutsu Kaisen, intends to complete the publication of several volumes of his brainchild within this year. In his usual concise manner, Akutami wrote: 'Happy New Year. I hope to finish the story this year.'
Akutami has essentially made decisions regarding the direction and conclusion of the story long ago. The fate of crucial characters like Megumi Fushiguro has also been planned out.
In fact, Gege Akutami commented during the Jump Festa 2023 event about completing the story plans a year after the date the author mentioned this issue. Additionally, in February 2021, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen also stated that he would complete his work 'two years from then'. However, this time, Gege Akutami offered no explanation, as the author made his message quite clear.

Gege Akutami commenced the serialization of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018.
