1. Electrical Appliances
Absolutely no electrical appliances should be near your sleeping area. Even seemingly harmless gadgets emit radiation that can disrupt your sleep. Items like radios, phone chargers, and bug zappers should be kept far away, preferably in a corner away from the bed. Electrical outlets should be at least 2 meters away from the head of the bed to minimize radiation exposure.

2. Back Pillows
Some people prefer to keep a back pillow at the head of their bed, pushing it aside when they sleep. However, this practice isn't ideal as it can affect the neck and disrupt sleep. Ideally, the height of the head pillow should be 10-12mm, but stacking back pillows and head pillows together can significantly increase the height.
Additionally, back pillows can harbor disease-causing organisms, bugs, and dirt. Inhaling these into the nose or mouth can lead to respiratory issues. Finally, cluttering the bed with miscellaneous items creates psychological pressure and takes up space, making it uncomfortable to sleep.

3. Swords, Knives, and Deadly Weapons
Swords and knives are also items that should not be kept in the bedroom. Many people enjoy collecting swords and knives, considering it a hobby of life, and even display them in the bedroom for easy viewing.
However, according to feng shui, these are taboo items in the bedroom because they carry heavy negative energy, leading to work pressure, headaches, restlessness, and even unintentional injuries.

4. Buddha and Deity Statues
From a religious perspective and the practice of reverence, placing statues of deities or Buddha in the bedroom is considered taboo. In terms of feng shui, it conceals wealth and luck, keeping one's career and fortunes at an average level.
As mentioned earlier, worshiping Buddha in the bedroom is inappropriate because it is not a place for worship. Regardless of having a separate bathroom or restroom, worshiping Buddha or bodhisattvas in one's bedroom is disrespectful. Worship should be conducted in a solemn and serene environment. Hanging a picture or a paper Buddha statue in a frame in the bedroom may be acceptable, but only for single individuals. If spouses share a bedroom, it is still not advisable, regardless of where the statue is placed in the bedroom.

5. Mirrors
Mirrors are common household items, but they are also one of the forbidden objects to have in the bedroom. Sometimes, we overlook or don't pay attention to the arrangement of mirrors in our homes.
However, these reflective surfaces can affect the emotions of both spouses, and sometimes become factors that easily disturb the psyche, providing opportunities for third parties to intervene...
If a mirror is placed in the bedroom, it should not be positioned directly facing the bed. This is a common mistake in the majority of households, where people may consider it normal. However, sleeping facing a mirror can lead to confusion, shallow sleep, and difficulty concentrating on thoughts.

6. Fish Tank
Opinions vary on whether or not to have a fish tank in the bedroom because it affects health and feng shui. Fish tanks belong to the Water element as they contain a lot of water, which is beneficial for generating positive energy. However, this is only beneficial when placed in the living room; having a fish tank in the bedroom is considered taboo.
The constant movement of water weakens the energy of the Fire element. This reduces warmth, stability, and the need for a quiet space in the bedroom.
A quiet bedroom is essential for restful sleep; the movement of fish and water creates psychological pressure, rumination, which is not conducive to sleep. In the Water against Fire element, having a fish tank in the bedroom creates a cold atmosphere and reduces the energy of Fire.

7. Antiques, Artifacts
We know that antiques and artifacts are precious and valuable items. Therefore, everyone wants to display and keep them in a private place. At this point, the bedroom seems like a suitable choice, but in reality, it makes the homeowner's mind uneasy, or they have strange dreams and lose their work spirit...

8. Wind Chimes
Wind chimes are a favorite item for many people because they help ward off evil spirits and dispel negative energy in the home. However, it's the echoing sounds that make hungry ghosts mistake them for temple dinner bells, luring them in. Or wandering spirits outside hear the wind chimes and stop to peer into your home, which is not ideal as the old saying goes, 'Don't let demons peek into your house.'
The best way to handle wind chimes is to use rubber bands to keep them from clanging together or, even better, remove them altogether. Instead, a gourd rattle, known for warding off illness and evil spirits in the home, would be preferable.

9. Avoid hanging or airing clothes in the bedroom
We often have the habit of hanging or hooking clothes on wall-mounted racks in the bedroom (usually on a hook outside the wardrobe). Instead of being inside the wardrobe, hanging them outside is extremely dangerous. According to folklore, those garments are an ideal hiding place for ghosts at night.
This is why our elders often advise against airing clothes outdoors at night. In each household, we often worship the God of Wealth and the Earth Deity, one responsible for guarding the house, the other for bringing fortune to you. Therefore, ghosts outside cannot easily invade the house but have to find places to hide. And clothes are the most commonly used places.
Hang clothes, hook them, and keep them neatly inside the wardrobe. Remember to close the door tightly when not in use, and never air clothes at night. If you happen to forget, vigorously shake them three times before bringing them into the room.

10. Indoor Plants and Fresh Flowers
At night, indoor plants cease photosynthesis but continue respiration. If there are many plants or flowers in the bedroom with the door closed, it can lead to stuffiness because during respiration, plants consume a lot of oxygen from the air in the room, while also releasing a lot of carbon dioxide.
