According to ZDNet, Microsoft halted the free Windows 10 upgrade program back in July last year, but the company expanded the program and added additional exemptions, allowing users of older Windows versions to still upgrade to Windows 10 for free. However, Microsoft has announced that the free Windows 10 upgrade program will end on December 31st later this year.

The Accessibility feature on Windows provides users with support options in case they encounter issues while using their computers.
In July, Microsoft declared: “We do not limit the free upgrade with users of assistive technologies. If you use assistive technology on Windows, you are eligible for a free upgrade.”
According to reports, Microsoft quietly edited this notice last week and updated the original statement: “The free upgrade to Windows 10 will end on December 31, 2017”.
The “Upgrade to Windows 10 FAQ” page has also been amended to include the expiration date for this Microsoft offer.
Last month, Microsoft introduced and released the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, adding several new features to this platform. Additionally, the company announced that the first Windows Mixed Reality devices are now available, and users can purchase them.
The most significant change is the Fluent Design System, which redesigns the interface of platform applications on Windows. Additionally, there's Story Remix for easier video editing, Cloud-Powered Clipboard, OneDrive Files On-Demand, and several other features.
