The newest 2D 'Doraemon' film has stormed Vietnamese cinemas with special screenings last weekend, ahead of its official release on May 26th. In just two days of early screenings, the film has set an impressive record.
Specifically, the film 'Doraemon: Nobita and the Ideal Land in the Sky' had special screenings on both May 20th and 21st nationwide. According to data from the distributor, the film grossed approximately 10 billion Vietnamese dong with nearly 110,000 attendees over these two days. This figure propels 'Doraemon: Nobita and the Ideal Land in the Sky' to become the highest-grossing sneak show of any 'Doraemon' film in Vietnam.
Compared to last year's early screenings of the film 'Nobita and the Tiny Cosmic Battle,' the revenue from this new installment is double. 'Nobita and the Tiny Cosmic Battle' itself was a stellar box office success, holding the title of the highest-grossing anime of all time in Vietnam for a brief period.

Regarded as a film true to the spirit of author Fujiko F Fujio, 'Doraemon: Nobita and the Ideal Land in the Sky' brings forth a seemingly simple yet meaningful story about friendship, courage, and personal identity. Instead of focusing on familiar 'save the world' battles, the new film portrays the process of psychological evolution, fostering a greater fondness and appreciation for one's individuality.
Additionally, audiences have showered praise on the visual design of this film. The character designs and costumes of the characters are deemed meticulous and incredibly endearing. Particularly, Doraemon's adorable expressions throughout the film have completely won over audiences' hearts. The dazzling and breathtaking setting of the perfect kingdom of Paradapia also plays a significant role in immersing audiences in the film.

Not only dominating the box office, but the images from the latest 'Doraemon' film are also flooding everywhere, demonstrating the tremendous allure of the Mèo Ú brand in Vietnam. At the 19/12 Book Street (Hanoi) and Book Street in Ho Chi Minh City, numerous Doraemon activities have taken place, attracting considerable attention from young audiences.
Doraemon-themed activities will continue to take place at Hanoi Book Street, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, and several major shopping centers until the beginning of June, promising to be an exciting entertainment destination for young children during the upcoming Children's Day festivities.
