The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 has arrived.A few years ago, Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad X1 Fold, the world's first laptop with a foldable screen. Recently, the company unveiled a new version of this product, named the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2.
As per Gizmochina, the highlight of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 is its display. This product boasts a Samsung OLED 16.3-inch foldable screen with a resolution of 2,024 x 2,560 pixels, delivering approximately 600 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision support, and On-cell touch with Pen support.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 receives an upgraded configuration.When folded, the device shrinks to a 12-inch screen and can be paired with a Bluetooth keyboard, resembling a real laptop. For comparison, the first-generation ThinkPad X1 Fold had a 13.3-inch screen, folding down to 8 inches.
Powering the product is the latest 12th generation Core i5 and Core i7 vPro processors from Intel, boasting ten cores for improved performance. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 supports up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
The product features 3 USB Type-C ports, two of which support Thunderbolt 4. The company is also adding an optional Nano-SIM tray for 5G Sub 6 and LTE connectivity. Additionally, this laptop has three speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 comes with a Bluetooth-connected keyboard.Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 supports an RGB + IR camera with a 5 MP resolution, powered by Intel VSC (Image Sensor Controller) to enhance security.
Furthermore, the product is now supported by a larger keyboard, which can be connected via Bluetooth 5.2 and recharged via a USB Type-C connection. The company has revealed that the laptop meets the MIL-STD-810H military durability standard.
It is known that the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 starts at $2,499 (approximately 58.2 million VND) and will be available from November this year.
