Housewarming is an essential ritual when we move to a new home. To ensure a smooth housewarming ceremony, various rituals are necessary. In this article, I have compiled the most authentic and widely used housewarming invocation texts for your reference.

Preparing the Offering
The altar for offering to the Deities and Ancestors on the housewarming day is set up with solemnity, including: betel and areca nut, incense, flowers, gold items, seasonal fruits, cakes and sweets, and the offering of savory dishes: wine, meat, rice, chicken, etc.
When stepping into a new home, the first item to bring in is the mat or mattress currently in use, followed by the kitchen stove (gas stove, oil stove). It's advisable not to bring in an electric stove since it lacks flames and only has heat. Other items like brooms, rice, water, etc., are brought in as offerings to the Divine Spirit beforehand, seeking permission to settle and inviting ancestral spirits to the new abode for worship.
Offerings are placed on a table or tray, arranged in an auspicious direction for the homeowner. The homeowner personally lights incense in a temporary incense holder. Lighting incense and making offerings to the Divine Spirit to enter the new home immediately followed by the homeowner lighting the stove and boiling water.
Boiling water serves the purpose of inaugurating the kitchen, brewing tea as an offering to the Divine Spirit and Ancestors. If there are guests, this water can be used to serve them.
If the move-in date is chosen for its auspiciousness but there's no immediate need to stay, the homeowner must spend a night in the new home.
After offering prayers to the Divine Spirit, the homeowner performs the ritual of announcing the arrival of Ancestral spirits before tidying up the belongings.
Once the tidying up is complete, for seeking peace and harmony, the entire household must organize a ceremony to pay homage to the Divine Buddhas, Saints, and Ancestors...
Pregnant individuals are advised not to participate in house cleaning. In urgent situations where moving is unavoidable, it's advisable to purchase a new broom, and the pregnant individual should personally sweep through the belongings before the move. This prevents the transgression of the 'Pregnant Spirit' taboo.
Those assisting in house cleaning must not be individuals born under the sign of the Tiger.
According to our ancestors, these are some principles to maintain prosperity, peace for every household, preventing illnesses, ensuring wealth, and bringing happiness to the family.
