Conan has many perplexing points, yet the audience overlooks them due to their immense fondness.
Being a long-running series greatly cherished across Asia, Detective Conan showcases the author Gosho Aoyama's exceptional detective storytelling prowess. However, this doesn't mean Conan lacks inconsistencies; it's just that the audience chooses to turn a blind eye.
Conan's 'unlucky' nature
Perhaps no one juggles responsibilities as miraculously as Conan. Having tackled over 1000 cases within a mere 6-month span in the show's universe, Conan typically handles 2-3 cases daily. Despite being an elementary school student, Conan seems busier than most police officers.

Furthermore, this implies that Conan has perpetuated his 'unlucky' streak incessantly for 6 months straight. Wherever Conan goes and whomever he meets, it inevitably results in a case rather than tranquility.
All culprits (and not a few victims) excel remarkably
In Detective Conan, each case captivates audiences with its unique methods of crime and the elaborate setup by the culprits. While this is the hallmark of the show, it leads to an unrealistic portrayal. Nearly all culprits in Conan are highly skilled, capable of creating crime scenes that challenge authorities, only solvable by Conan or Hattori.

Moreover, if the culprits are intelligent, then sometimes the victims are no ordinary individuals either. There are numerous victims who leave behind cryptic last words to accuse the culprits, resembling incredibly complex puzzles. It can be said that in Conan, everyone is a genius!
Kaito Kid's absurdly high IQ
Detective Conan boasts an array of highly intelligent characters, hence their IQ scores are undoubtedly high. However, with Kaito Kid, this number reaches... 400. This has been confirmed in Kaito Kid's own project titled Magic Kaito. In real life, the highest IQ scores only reach beyond 200 (recently, Guinness World Records recognized Marilyn vos Savant with an IQ of 228).

Nevertheless, some viewers argue that this detail is specific to the Magic Kaito series, and it shouldn't be conflated with the main content of Detective Conan.
