When it comes to smartphones, power is key. It determines the speed and capabilities of your device. No matter how sleek or unique a smartphone's design may be, without strong specs, it won't grab consumers' attention.
1. The Most Powerful Smartphones of Today
In the realm of smartphones, performance reigns supreme. It dictates the device's speed and its ability to handle various applications. Even the most visually stunning or innovative smartphone will go unnoticed without robust specifications to match.
In 2015, a plethora of new smartphones emerged, rendering the once-standard specs of 2014 obsolete. Here, I present to you the smartphones boasting the most formidable specifications to date.
The Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 EDGE
Galaxy S6/S6 Edge - The rumors were spot-on as Samsung opted out of using Snapdragon 810 on the new Galaxy S series. Both Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge run on Exynos 7420 octa-core processor (4 Cortex-A57 cores at 2.1GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5GHz) paired with Mali-T760 integrated graphics and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM. This new generation RAM has debuted on LG G Flex2 and is expected to become commonplace on flagship devices in 2015.

Samsung Galaxy S6 features a 16MP camera with ISOCELL sensor, optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, and 4k video recording capability but only a single flash. The front-facing camera boasts 5MP resolution and supports Full-HD video recording.
The memory options for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge come in three variants: 32GB / 64GB / 128GB with no external memory card slot. The built-in memory utilizes Samsung's new UFS 2.0 technology, which is 2.7 times faster than the internal memory using eMMC 5.0 technology found in other high-end smartphones.
Supported connections include LTE Cat.6, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS with GLONASS, infrared port, and FM radio. The Galaxy S6 is equipped with a 2,550 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2,600 mAh battery.
HTC One M9
The specifications of HTC One M9 include a 5-inch Super LCD3 display with 1080p resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit processor, Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory with expandable storage, and support for LTE Cat.6 or Cat.9, GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and Wi-Fi ac. The device comes with a non-removable 2,840 mAh battery, supporting fast charging that replenishes 60% battery in just 30 minutes.

We can easily notice some significant improvements in One M9 including the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, larger RAM, more internal storage, a high-resolution 20.7MP camera, and a higher capacity battery.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
With the upgraded version of Galaxy Note 4, Samsung continues to assert its ambition to lead the market for large-screen smartphones with the screen quality enhanced to 2k resolution, providing highly regarded display capabilities. The reasons why Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is voted for the number 1 position are not only its large and clear screen but also its long battery life thanks to the convenience that the S Pen brings.

In terms of specifications, Galaxy Note 4 boasts the most powerful processor available today, providing smooth and stable web browsing and gaming experiences. The fast charging capability allows Galaxy Note 4 to charge 50% battery in just 30 minutes, nearly an hour faster than the previous generation Galaxy Note.
Furthermore, the S Pen on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been upgraded from 1024 to 2048 levels of sensitivity, increasing the ability to recognize pressure when touching the screen. Galaxy Note 4 is also the smartphone with the best camera among Android smartphones currently, with fast capture speed alongside decent image quality.
Sony Xperia Z3
Sony Xperia Z3 has been made thinner by Sony (from 8.2mm to 7.3mm). The device still retains the Omnibalance design, featuring a 5.2-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels using Triluminos and X- Reality technologies.

However, compared to the Galaxy Note 4, Xperia Z3 has lower specifications with only a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, and 3GB of RAM. Due to its thinner profile, the battery capacity of Xperia Z3 is reduced to 2,600 mAh. Nevertheless, the company remains confident that the Z3 will have a battery life of up to 2 days. Additionally, Sony has added two more colors for the Z3: copper and silver white.
The device features a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, equipped with a 28mm wide-angle lens, and an ISO range of up to 12,800. Sony claims this to be the best camera on a smartphone in the world. Xperia Z3 comes pre-installed with Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The device is equipped with all necessary connectivity options such as NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and 4G LTE network.
