1. The Most Unusual Smartphones of 2015
Beyond the realm of luxury, devices like the BlackBerry Priv, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, or LG V10 garnered attention for their avant-garde designs and innovative features.
BlackBerry Priv

Not merely the first Android device by BlackBerry, the Priv turned heads with its slide-out keyboard—a rarity in today's touchscreen-dominated landscape. It's a standout in the Android world, lauded for its robust personal security measures embedded deep within the operating system's core, complemented by a chain of hardware component linkages for added protection.
Despite its late debut, the product is flying off the shelves in some international markets. In Vietnam, the Priv has just been released with an official price tag of 18.5 million dong.
LG V10
LG's latest phablet is equipped with more cameras and screens than necessary for a smartphone. On the front, the device boasts two cameras for selfies and two screens, one large and one small, each with its own unique functions.

The dual cameras enable the LG V10 to capture group selfies without the need for a selfie stick. Meanwhile, the 2.1-inch secondary screen situated above the 5.7-inch main display allows for quick notifications, shortcut keys, and power saving when necessary.
Like the Priv, the LG V10 has just arrived in Vietnam, but with a lower official price of 16 million dong.
Motorola Droid Turbo 2
The Droid Turbo 2 is the only product not yet available in Vietnam. However, this model boasts a screen technology that many smartphone users desire: a screen that doesn't shatter when dropped - ShatterShield.

The essence of the technology lies in the display section utilizing up to 5 different components. The core is made of sturdy aluminum for stability, absorbing force, while the display panel is P-OLED with a plastic substrate instead of glass as usual. The touch screen alone has 2 layers, one serving as a backup. The toughened glass, which already resists impact and cracking, is further coated with a special protective layer.
The Turbo 2's configuration also falls into the high-end Android segment with a 5.4-inch QuadHD screen, Snapdragon 810 chip, and accompanying 3GB of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge+

This duo isn't Samsung's first curved screen smartphone (Galaxy Round) or edge curved screen (Galaxy Note Edge). However, with the edge-to-edge curved design combined with features like swipe to quickly access apps, view information, weather, the S6 edge and S6 edge+ attract more attention than other Samsung smartphone models. These two products also inspire BlackBerry to design the Priv with a curved screen and similar features. Aside from some conveniences, Samsung's edge-to-edge curved screen also makes the Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge+ look more attractive and eye-catching than standard touchscreen smartphones.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium

While the 2K Pixel resolution screen on smartphones has yet to be fully utilized by users, Sony has introduced the world's first smartphone with a 4K Pixel resolution screen, similar to high-end large-screen TVs.
In theory, the 5.5-inch screen of the Xperia Z5 Premium boasts 4 times the pixels of the standard Full HD 1,080p display on the iPhone 6s Plus, to the extent that the naked eye struggles to discern differences in sharpness and clarity at the pixel level. It's equipped to complement virtual reality projection technology, maintaining sharpness even when images are magnified.
In Vietnam, the Z5 Premium stands as Sony's most expensive smartphone, priced at a staggering 20 million dong.
