Exploring the Ha Ma Da Valley – Trạ Ang Cave unveils a marvelous travel experience for those seeking to immerse themselves in the pristine, poetic, and majestic world of untouched nature.
The Enigma of Ha Ma Da Valley – Trạ Ang Cave

This is an immensely attractive and fascinating destination nestled deep within the heart of the World Natural Heritage Site – Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, situated in the renowned 'Kingdom of Caves' – Quang Binh Province.
Ha Ma Da is a relatively large and flat valley, surrounded by majestic limestone mountains reaching heights equivalent to white clouds, adorned with pristine primeval forests housing numerous rare and precious tree species.
In the midst of this valley, Ma Da Lake is hailed by travelers as a 'natural pool' within the heritage site. It is a water reservoir beneath an underground river cave, where water seamlessly blends from the depths of the mountain springs.

Especially remarkable is the natural emerald-like clarity of the water in Ma Da Lake, reaching a depth of about 6m. The transparency is such that even standing at the edge, one can easily observe schools of stream fish gracefully swimming beneath the lake's surface.

Visiting the Ha Ma Da Valley, travelers can freely enjoy swimming in the lake. For adventure enthusiasts, there's an opportunity to test their skills with the 'cliff jump' game from rock steps ranging from 1.5 to 5.5m high along the mountain cliffs, plunging into the deep waters.
Experience a BBQ lunch by the lake shore for relaxation, mesmerized by the sounds of the jungle's wild creatures and the majestic limestone mountains hidden behind white clouds. Indulge in grilled meats, eggs, and wild vegetables.

After delightful experiences in the Ha Ma Da Valley, travelers continue their journey with a trek through lush forests and limestone cliffs to reach Trạ Ang Cave – one of the famous caves within Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
Many famous producers, film directors, and TV game shows have chosen this location as a backdrop for shooting and creating challenges for participants, such as the legendary Tale of Fairy Inn film, The Amazing Race, and Step of Discovery game show.

Located near Km17 on the Quyết Thắng Road – one of the rare routes through the core area of the Phong Nha World Natural Heritage Site, Trạ Ang Cave is a cave with an underground river that collects water from Én Cave, Sơn Đoòng Cave, and Va Cave, flowing into the Trạ Ang stream.
This cave stretches nearly 700m in length, with an average width ranging from 40 – 50m. It boasts captivating natural landscapes, cool and refreshing cave water, and a dreamy natural sandbank in front of its entrance.

Trạ Ang Stream originates from Trạ Ang Cave, flowing parallel to Quyết Thắng Road for over 4km before entering the colossal limestone mountains of Ke Bang, transforming into an underground river within the mountains. It eventually merges with the Phong Nha underground river, pouring out of this very cave.

Jungle Boss, the exclusive license holder, currently organizes exploration tours of the Ha Ma Da Valley – Trạ Ang Cave. The company offers two routes: a 1-day tour and a 2-day, 1-night tour.

Participants in this tour are equipped with helmets, life jackets, and gloves to conquer a rugged and sharp rock field, as well as swim through a 600m water passage to unveil the mysteries within Trạ Ang Cave. Headlamps illuminate stalactite formations dating back millions of years on the cave ceiling, revealing the darkness within.

The water temperature in Trạ Ang Cave averages around 18 degrees. Despite the initial chill upon immersion, after about 10 minutes of acclimation and swimming challenges, visitors unexpectedly find the experience extremely exhilarating.
Concluding the exploration and cave swimming journey, porters await visitors at the cave entrance by the stream, offering aromatic hot tea to savor the moment.
