Now, a fresh report from Bloomberg sheds light on what to expect from the new Pro, including slightly larger dimensions and the use of premium OLED panels.
The enhanced design iPad Pro is scheduled to launch in 2024In the latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reveals that the next iPad Pro models will mark the 'first significant upgrade to the product since 2018'
According to Gurman, the new iPad Pro lineup will comprise two models, one with an 11-inch screen and one with a 13-inch screen. He states: 'That's similar to the current product line, but the larger model currently has a size of 12.9 inches.
In addition to being slightly larger in size, the iPad Pro 2024 series will transition to using a more premium OLED display panel. Currently, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model utilizes a mini-LED display panel, while the 11-inch iPad Pro only has an LCD panel. Gurman suggests that this means the new iPad Pro models will offer a 'sharper, brighter, and more color-accurate display.'
The iPad Pro 2024 lineup will also feature the M3 chip under the hood. Devices currently undergoing testing at Apple bear the model identifiers J717, J718, J720, and J721. The M3 chip is slated to debut later this year in new Mac machines, promising excellent performance for users.
