The incident involving the locking of accounts of Vietnamese players on the Korean server has caused a commotion in the community, with Faker also being named in the controversy.
By now, the League of Legends (LoL) community in Vietnam is no stranger to the speculation about the rank accounts on the Korean server of Vietnamese players being locked by Riot Korea. Of course, Riot has remained silent, neither confirming nor denying this information. As for the teams, there has only been some information from GAM Esports and perhaps Saigon Buffalo (SGB) regarding this matter.

However, at this current moment, the international LoL community is just getting wind of the situation. A post on the social media platform Reddit recalls that all Vietnamese players have had their accounts locked by Riot on the Korean server. The post does not provide any reasons for the incident or any new information. Nevertheless, this has been enough to cause a great stir in the international LoL community.
According to various opinions, Riot may view the Vietnam (VCS) region as a small part of the LoL world. Consequently, the publisher has not made any moves to explain why many players cannot access their ranked accounts on the Korean server. Moreover, Vietnam is known for having a somewhat toxic LoL environment, with several professional players having been penalized for negatively impacting ranked matches.

- 'They deserve it. VCS is a highly toxic region, especially in ranked games.'
- 'When you play their game, on their 'home turf,' you have to play by their rules. Moreover, these are professional players.'
- 'There are indeed some VCS players who genuinely exhibit negative behavior.'
- 'Perhaps VCS is a small region. And when you're a small region, Riot won't bother explaining anything.'
- 'If Riot really does that, the development of the entire region will be affected.'
Other opinions bring up Faker and the troubles he has faced since the beginning of the 2022 season whenever he plays ranked. Some even suggest that many people will immediately associate Faker's influence whenever there's news of his ranked account on the Korean server being locked. Furthermore, Doinb himself has had his ranked account on the Korean server locked and has hinted that this may be related to Faker's complaints.

- 'And some fans of the LPL region will say 'It's all because of Faker.' Watch and see.'
- 'Perhaps Riot will implement this for the LPL region if they defeat players from the LCK in the ASIAD next year.'
- 'Doinb himself has hinted at Faker regarding the ranked match incident on the Korean server.'
However, everything is currently just speculation. The post has also been deleted. But one thing is certain: if unable to play ranked on the Korean server, it may have a significant impact on Vietnamese teams. Especially when Vietnamese teams will step into international tournaments, with the upcoming World Championship 2022 Finals being a prime example.
