Using cornstarch helps maintain the sweetness while frying the ribs, and egg whites help soften the meat part of the ribs.
Step 3: Fry the Ribs
- Pour cooking oil into the pan and wait until the oil is hot before frying the ribs until golden brown.
- When frying the ribs, use medium heat. Simply fry the ribs until they are lightly browned on the edges, then turn off the heat. Avoid over-frying as it may cause the ribs to burn and become dry.

For a delightful sweet and sour pork ribs, only sear the ribs until slightly charred on the edges.
Step 4: Prepare the sauce and stir-fry bell peppers, onions, and pineapple
- To make the sauce, mix 1 teaspoon sugar, ½ teaspoon soy sauce, ½ teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon, half a cup of water, and half a cup of ketchup. Stir well.
