Since its debut in 2011, The International (TI) has consistently topped the list of Esports tournaments with lucrative prize pools. The massive rewards from TI events are irresistibly appealing. The International 2021, held in Bucharest (Romania), leads the 'money throne' list with a total prize value exceeding 40 million USD (about 994 billion VND).
In this tournament, Team Spirit clinched the championship, securing a total of 18,208,300 USD in prize money (equivalent to 414 billion VND). Interestingly, even the last-placed team in this TI edition received a generous prize of 100,000 USD (around 2.4 billion VND).
Fortnite World Cup Finals 2019
This marked the golden era of Fortnite Esports as Epic Games invested a whopping 30 million USD in its game. The Fortnite World Cup 2019 featured two formats: Solo and Duos. Held at Arthur Ashe Stadium (New York) with a capacity of over 23,000 people, the tournament was captivating. A remarkable story unfolded as 16-year-old Kyle 'Bugha' Giersdorf clinched a 3 million USD prize (over 70 billion VND) by winning the solo competition.

This year's world championship of the game Honor of Kings also ranks among the tournaments with the most massive prizes in history. Specifically, the Honor of Kings International Championship 2022 boasts a total prize pool of up to 10 million USD (240 billion VND). The tournament is scheduled to commence its group stage on December 3rd.
Prior to this, the Arena of Valor World Cup (AWC 2022) was slated to merge the two games, Honor of Kings and Garena Lien Quan Mobile, with a declared prize pool of 10 million USD. However, no collaboration occurred between these two titles.
