Spider-Man: No Way Home's blockbuster status brings forth two post-credit scenes, leaving even the most die-hard fans speculating. What could be the underlying message behind these scenes?
After much anticipation and speculation, the blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally hit theaters. Beyond its visually stunning and surprise-packed narrative, the film solidifies its pivotal role in shaping the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With two credit sequences stirring applause and anticipation among audiences, numerous revelations are beginning to unfold.

Post-credit Scene: Venom casually sipping a drink at a bar may seem nonsensical, but its implications for the Marvel Universe are profound.
The first post-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home features Venom - a character from Sony's Marvel Universe - taking audiences by surprise. This segment directly follows the post-credit scene of the recently released Venom: Let There Be Carnage, where Eddie/Venom unexpectedly leaps from his universe to Marvel's main universe, landing in a hotel.

Thus, in this blockbuster, audiences witness Venom sipping a drink at the very same hotel bar. Here, he learns about the superhero Avengers, or the titan Thanos with his epochal snap... However, just as the story unfolds, Venom is sent back to his world through Doctor Strange's incantation in the film.
While it sounds intriguing, this plot point is rather absurd. As the film explains, previous villains like Doc Ock or Lizard were pulled into this world simply because the magic selected 'those who previously knew Spider-Man's identity.' This spell inadvertently attracted all those who knew Spider-Man's real name across various universes.
However, Venom has never known Spider-Man as Peter Parker. This is an extremely illogical detail, and perhaps the only explanation (albeit vague) is from the 2007 blockbuster Spider-Man 3, where the encounter between Venom and Peter Parker led to a bit of 'understanding' in this parasite's intelligence. Therefore, when Doctor Strange's spell was cast, Eddie/Venom was summoned.

When pulled away to return to his universe, Venom leaves behind a remaining symbiote on the bar counter. This is a significant detail, potentially creating a new Venom within Marvel's main universe - separate from the Venom universe portrayed by Tom Hardy. Simply because Sony's film universe is entirely separate from the Marvel world being built by Disney. Only Spider-Man is the fully collaborative product.
Post-credit Scene: First teaser trailer for Doctor Strange 2!
Audiences are momentarily diverted from the Spider drama to the biggest surprise - a full-fledged trailer for the blockbuster Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (scheduled for release on 5/6/2021). It seems after the catastrophic multiverse experiment in this Spider-Man blockbuster, Sorcerer Supreme Strange will face numerous threats and will have to rely on the aid of the witch Wanda.

Following the events of WandaVision, Wanda remains in hiding. Doctor Strange appears and states he needs to learn more about the multiverse from her. In the final scene of WandaVision, audiences can see Wanda scouring through various universes in search of her two lost sons.
The rest of this trailer also teases a darker version of Doctor Strange. In fact, viewers who have watched Marvel's newly released series What If...? will be familiar with this powerful and pivotal character.

Additionally, audiences also catch a glimpse of Doctor Strange's lover, Christine, appearing in a wedding gown and strolling down the aisle. However, her role and fate in this film remain a mystery to fans.
