Topic: The thoughtful reflections and actions of school youth contributing to the reduction of traffic accidents
Essay:
'Safe Traffic - Ensuring Lives!', 'Traffic safety is the happiness of every home', 'Swift in a second - slow for a lifetime' - these are the slogans on traffic safety that we see everywhere on the roads of Vietnam. Traffic accidents have become a pressing issue of our time due to the serious consequences they leave behind. Many mothers lose their children, many husbands lose their wives, and many silver-haired bid farewell to the green. It has become a menace, an 'enemy' in times of peace for humans. School youth, the future generations of the nation, need to realize and act now to contribute to building a healthy traffic environment.
The series of accidents that occur annually with increasing casualties and injuries indicate the alarming nature of this problem. Subjective reasons include the lack of awareness among traffic participants, alcohol consumption, and the use of stimulants while controlling vehicles. Lack of understanding or intentionally 'forgetting' traffic regulations, reckless driving, weaving in and out, overtaking recklessly, and invading the road occur rampantly. Traffic participants not wearing helmets or wearing low-quality helmets in accidents cause serious injuries.
The objective cause, primarily in our country where most people use motorcycles, exacerbates the situation - this mode of transportation, while convenient, is prone to accidents and dangers. Narrow, crowded roads, many severely deteriorated, impede movement. Traffic management is not tightly enforced. All of these contribute to a deteriorating, chaotic, and complex traffic scenario. Therefore, to address these causes and minimize accident damage, each of us, as student generations, must strive to contribute to protecting and building a safe and healthy traffic environment. Strictly adhere to traffic laws, wear helmets with safety straps, and participate in traffic education. Encourage family members to comply with traffic laws. Participate in school and social organization competitions and campaigns on traffic safety. Encourage everyone, friends, and acquaintances to use public services for safety. Ride bicycles to protect the environment.
Everyone must obey and behave with courtesy in traffic - give way, do not run red lights, and do not encroach on the road. Help the elderly and young children when they cross the road. If you see someone in an accident, quickly and timely provide assistance. Behave civilized and condemn actions that do not comply with the law. Instruct and educate younger students on how to walk the right path, play in safe places to avoid accidents.
A segment of school adolescents, eager to showcase themselves and emulate their peers, organize illegal street races, recklessly speeding through city streets, jeopardizing their own lives. Many who are underage also ride motorcycles to school. These are wrongful actions, violating the regulations of state law. Actively participate in extracurricular activities on traffic education and obtain a driver's license when of legal age. Every student must be conscious of right and wrong in their actions, reflect to correct mistakes, and abide by the law. Contribute to the traffic law culture for a better life for everyone, including ourselves.
'All accidents on the road
Mostly involve high speeds.
The safety at night depends on the stars
Safety is achieved through conscience.'
