The Legendary 'You are already dead' prepares to dazzle audiences with a new anime adaptation of Fist of the North Star.
2023 marks the 40th anniversary of the manga Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken), known as Northern Fist Mastery in Vietnamese, authored by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara, introduced to global audiences. To celebrate this milestone, Warner Bros. Japan has announced details of a new anime project commemorating the 40-year journey of the original manga.
Regarding the new project, only promotional images have been disclosed, with no additional information provided, including the format of the film.

As revealed, the new anime adaptation of Northern Fist Mastery will undergo a complete overhaul in its personnel lineup. This is due to the advanced age of the staff from previous installments. The anime may be ready to greet audiences by late 2024 or the first half of 2025.
The manga Fist of the North Star was serialized in numerous issues of the manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha, spanning 245 issues, published from 1983 to 1988, and compiled into 27 volumes by Jump Comics. The manga has sold over 100 million copies, establishing itself as one of the best-selling manga series of all time. Fist of the North Star is considered one of the most influential brands in history.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by nuclear warfare, the story follows the warrior character named Kenshiro – the top disciple of the martial art style Hokuto Shinken. This grants him the ability to defeat most adversaries by targeting vital secret pressure points in the human body (exploiting acupuncture with pressure points).
The work has been adapted into two anime series produced by Toei Animation, airing on Fuji TV from 1984 to 1988, totaling 152 episodes. Since then, adaptations such as live-action films, OVAs, video games... and later sequels have been enthusiastically received.
