Unfortunately, the company from Taiwan has yet to disclose the launch date of this gaming phone series. Below are the details we know so far about the ROG Phone 8 series.

According to Gizmochina, employing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will enhance the ROG Phone 8's CPU performance by 30%, save 20% energy, boost GPU performance by 25%, and significantly improve AI capabilities by 98% compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the ROG Phone 7 series. It's currently unclear whether ASUS's new generation gaming phones will debut this year or early next year in China.
Although the exact technical specifications of the ROG Phone 8 lineup have not yet been disclosed, a recent report suggests that this series will consist of three models: the ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and ROG Phone 8 Ultimate. Among them, the standard ROG Phone 8 bears the model number AI2401_A for the global market, AI2401_C for the Chinese or Indian market, and AI2401_E for the ROG Phone 8 Pro.

Back in September, a device with model number ASUS_AI2401_A, likely the ROG Phone 8, surfaced in the Geekbench benchmark library. The device achieved a single-core score of 2,213 and a multi-core score of 7,048. The device list revealed it to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 16GB of RAM, and running on Android 14 OS.
