This parent always wholeheartedly supports the journey of their son's passion pursuit.
Yanli - the esports athlete currently on the roster of the VALORANT ONE Team. However, prior to that, this guy was known as a talented player in FPS games. With 6 years of 'try hard' experience in CS:GO, owning two national championships, 5 years in PUBG, and upon switching to VALORANT, it wasn't difficult for this athlete to secure a spot in professional tournaments.

Having a son as a talented Esports athlete, Mr. Jackie Peng (50 years old) admitted: 'At first, when I saw my son playing games, my family and I objected a lot. Especially, the lifespan of professional players is very short and unstable, so I wanted my son to finish his studies first. But when my son proved his ability with high achievements, I gradually shifted to support him.'

When starting his career, Yanli was studying and competing at the same time. However, after being selected for the national team, along with that, the training schedule overlapping with school hours too much, so this father decided to create conditions, for his son to temporarily suspend academic results, focusing on pursuing the dream of becoming a world champion:
'I also want my child to finish college, but seeing his determination and passion, I'll just let him compete professionally first.'

Jackie Peng shared that his son has an introverted personality, reserved, and doesn't express emotions outwardly. However, he knows that with his support, his son will feel more at ease when competing. The 'cool dad' mentioned that he will attend matches, both local and international, as long as he can manage his time, to watch live and cheer for his son.
During the VCT Challengers Ascension 2023 tournament in Bangkok, Thailand, Jackie Peng didn't hesitate to take time off work to support his son and the One Team squad online in Thailand: 'I simply want to support my son and the One Team to give it their all,' he said.

Through his own experiences, this parent has a message: 'Parents should not limit their children's development. If you care about your child and see that they have dreams, and you believe it's a good thing, then support them wholeheartedly. Of course, the journey may fail, but parents should be the support for their children,' he said.
