Joining Avatar: The Way of Water, the 'Titanic beauty' Kate Winslet plays what role?
Returning after over a decade, the Avatar franchise has undergone certain changes, notably with a prevalence of Na'vi characters over humans. Besides Jake Sully and Neytiri, Avatar: The Way of Water introduces many intriguing new characters, especially the offspring of the two. So who stands behind these characters?

First up is the main couple who are already familiar to fans of Avatar - Jake Sully and Neytiri. Portraying the courageous male lead of Avatar is actor Sam Worthington. Back then, he surpassed many actors like Matt Damon, Chris Evans... to secure the role. On the other hand, Zoe Saldana was James Cameron's top choice to portray the female lead Neytiri. Currently, Saldana holds the title of the actress appearing in 2 highest-grossing films of all time.

In addition to the husband and wife Jake Sully, Avatar: The Way of Water introduces a new couple to the audience. Tonowari and Ronal are the two leaders of the Metkayina sea people, the new 'hideout' for Jake Sully's extended family. Portraying Tonowari and Ronal are Cliff Curtis and the 'Titanic beauty' Kate Winslet. According to behind-the-scenes revelations, Kate Winslet held her breath for 7 minutes underwater to complete her scene.

Next is the return of the main antagonist - Colonel Miles Quaritch. Despite being defeated by Neytiri in the first installment, he has been resurrected through memory storage technology, finally gaining a new 'life' in the form of a Na'vi. However, reprising the role of Miles is still the famous actor Stephen Lang.

The highly anticipated identities of the young characters in Avatar: The Way of Water:
First up are the 4 children of the Sully family. The adopted daughter Kiri is portrayed by veteran actress U80 Sigourney Weaver. Weaver previously portrayed the character Grace Augustine and now returns with a significantly different age-defying role.

The eldest son Neteyam is considered Jake Sully's great hope. He entrusts Neteyam with many expectations that he will take good care of his siblings, keep them safe, and inherit his courage in the future. Portraying Neteyam is young actor Jamie Flatters. The newcomer born in 2000 recently made an impression in the Good and Evil School series.

Accompanying Neteyam is his younger brother Lo'ak, also the second son of Jake Sully and Neytiri. Unlike Neteyam, Lo'ak enjoys wandering and often makes his parents worry about his actions. Handsome actor born in 2001 Britain Dalton embodies the character of 'little brother' Lo'ak. Previously, he appeared in Stephen Spielberg's project Ready Player One but only in a minor role.

Next is the youngest of the Sully family - Tuk. Tuk is described as a 'little mischief', but he is very affectionate towards his siblings and parents, especially Kiri. Young Asian star Trinity Jo-Li Bliss plays Tuk in Avatar 2, and this is also her first film role.

The children in the jungle have a new friend when they come to the Metkayina tribe. The Tonowari family also has 2 children, a boy and a girl named Aonung and Reya. Portraying the two youngsters are Filip Geljo (born in 2002) and Bailey Bass (born in 2003).

Finally, the most unique character in Avatar: The Way of Water this time - Spider. Spider is the human boy left behind on Pandora in the first installment. Now, he grows up amidst the embrace of Pandora and sees himself as a true Na'vi. Portraying Spider is young actor Jack Champion.

Avatar: The Way of Water is now showing in theaters nationwide.
