Today, a source has revealed some intriguing news about the video recording capability of the top-tier model.
The telephoto 5x camera of Galaxy S24 Ultra will enhance seamless video recording.Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to feature a main 200MP rear camera, accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. While this might be considered a downgrade in terms of zoom capability, the image quality is likely to remain unchanged. More importantly, today's report suggests that the 5x 50MP telephoto camera of the S24 Ultra will provide a seamless video recording experience across all cameras, even in 4K@60fps mode.
Currently, no Samsung flagship allows switching between ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto cameras while recording 4K@60fps video. Such switching is only possible when users record video at 4K@30fps. However, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, this limitation is about to change. This improvement is likely the result of a combination of an improved processor (and ISP) and the new 50MP telephoto camera.
Even the competition has enabled seamless 4K@60fps video recording with the launch of their 15 Pro lineup last month, and if today's leaks are accurate, Samsung will be on par with their biggest rival.
