The Serene Võ Nguyên Giáp Boulevard along My Khe Beach
Võ Nguyên Giáp Boulevard is a popular destination in Da Nang cherished by locals and tourists alike. Named after the legendary General Võ Nguyên Giáp, the nearly 8km-long boulevard stretches from the intersection of Nguyen Huy Chương and Hoàng Sa Streets to the Minh Mạng intersection, connecting with Trường Sa Street. This boulevard lies serenely along the coast of My Khe Beach – a beach voted as one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world.
The city government and residents decided to name this boulevard after the General to signify the affection of the people of Da Nang, as well as to carry the sacred meaning of protecting the sovereignty of the nation's two large archipelagos.
Being a new boulevard, there aren't many shaded areas yet. However, both sides of the road are lined with coconut and other trees, with some sections adorned with beautiful rows of bamboo. The wide sidewalks feature paved walkways for pedestrians, lush green lawns meticulously trimmed and maintained.
Currently, this road boasts numerous resorts and tourist attractions that are being developed to attract visitors. Among them, East Sea Park is an enticing tourist spot in Da Nang, boasting beautiful landscapes and hosting large festivals with a variety of exciting activities.
