Today, Apple has just updated some information about using the new Magic Keyboard with integrated Touch ID, when users use it with a MacBook M1 (including MacBook Air and MacBook Pro) with Touch ID.

Apple has announced new guidelines for MacBook M1 users, stating that the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is compatible with MacBook M1, and the Touch ID on MacBook M1 will also sync with the Touch ID on Magic Keyboard. Users only need to confirm with Apple when prompted initially during setup. If they want to add a new fingerprint, users only need to add it on the Mac and then confirm to use that fingerprint with the new Magic Keyboard. The Secure Enclave will handle the synchronization of user fingerprints between the Magic Keyboard and the Mac.

iPhone must be unlocked at least once within 6.5 hours.
