2. New Points regarding the issuance of Confirmation Documents for ID Numbers, CCCD from 01/7/2021
Starting from July 01, 2021, the issuance of ID number confirmation documents, CCCD is carried out according to Circular 59/2021/TT-BCA.
2.1. When is it necessary to apply for ID number confirmation?
- Citizens are only required to apply for confirmation of their ID number, Citizen Identity Card when scanning the QR code on the CCCD card without information about the old ID number.
- The QR code is a new feature first appearing on chip-embedded CCCD cards.
The police department is where requests for searching and verifying information through citizen identification cards, legal documents displaying ID numbers to accurately determine the content and issue ID confirmation papers, are handled.

2.4. Duration for issuing ID confirmation papers for ID cards, citizen identification cards.
