- To achieve the best flavor for clam soup, we must select clams with minimal sand. Soak the clams in a bowl of rice water or cold water with a few slices of spicy chili peppers for about 60 minutes to allow them to expel any sand and impurities from their mouths.
Step 2: Prepare the Fresh Basil with Seasonings
- Clean the fresh basil, remove any tough parts, then wash thoroughly. Cut into short pieces about 4 cm in length.
- Rinse the tomatoes thoroughly, then slice them into small wedges. Peel the red onions, slice thinly.
