(Homeland) - If this truly happens, it will be extremely joyful news for our VCS region.
As we know, at each World Finals (Worlds), each region will only have a certain number of teams participating. This number depends on the region's performance in international League of Legends tournaments organized by Riot Games. For example, LPL and LCK regions will have up to 4 slots in Worlds because their representatives are usually the Worlds champions.

For the Vietnam region - VCS, in each Worlds, will possess 2 slots for the tournament. Specifically, the VCS Summer champion will directly advance to the Group Stage, while the runners-up will play from the Play-In Stage.
However, this may change in the 2023 season as there is information confirming that the TCL region will dissolve soon. This means that a slot for the Worlds Play-In Stage is currently uncertain and will be decided by Riot Games.

'According to our sources, the TCL tournament will no longer have a slot for Worlds starting from the 2023 season. This region will also be dissolved, and participating teams will have to compete in the ERL tournament (the second-tier league of the European region) from 2023 onwards.' - Esporin, a specialized site in the TCL region, shared.

With the mentioned information, VCS fans can hope for an additional spot for Vietnam's teams at Worlds. In this season, both SGB and GAM have impressed professionally, so having more VCS representatives will make international tournaments even more exciting. Hopefully, Riot will come up with reasonable solutions for this issue, aiming for a successful 2023 season.
